Hypnobirthing is a mind body approach to childbirth, and utilises hypnosis, relaxation techniques, breathing and visualisation to create a calm, controlled birthing experience.
As well as group sessions, I run 1:1 sessions, which are tailored to your needs as an individual.
We have just completed a set of 8 classes as part of the StayWell Health "Pregnancy Yoga and Meditation" offering. These classes are run via Zoom, so you can attend from the comfort of your own space for some relaxing, nurturing goodness. My class is packed full of pregnancy learning and information about childbirth, followed by a lovely, relaxing guided meditation.
During the sessions, we will discuss fears and manage expectations in a comfortable and nurturing environment, building your confidence in your body and your ability to have a calm, controlled birthing experience.
In addition to the sessions, you will receive helpful tips and techniques, as well as the opportunity to purchase a series of specially created MP3 recordings which you can use at home, as part of your preparation for your baby's arrival.
Further sessions are available, specifically tailored towards morning sickness, turning breech babies and caesarean section deliveries.
If you are looking for a physical practice, there are several yoga classes you can join, which are specially modified for pregnancy. Yoga helps to strengthen your core whilst bringing focus to your breathing - perfect for childbirth! Drop Sarah an email over at StayWell Health if you have any queries about yoga for pregnancy or about when our next set of classes will be starting.
If you wish, you can download and enjoy my free Optimal Breathing for Childbirth MP3 and a music track which was specifically created for relaxation purposes. Other Hypnobirthing recordings are available for purchase.
